The gut is one of the most important control centres for our well-being. It houses a dense ecosystem of trillions of microorganisms involved in digestion, nutrient absorption and a large part of our immune defence. Via the gut-brain axis it is also in constant exchange with the nervous system.

When this balance is disturbed, it often shows up first in the abdomen, but sometimes also as tiredness, malaise or a more vulnerable immune system. In my practice in Wiesbaden I look at your situation carefully and support you naturopathically and individually.

The three building blocks of gut care

Bowel cleansing

Rebuilding the gut flora step by step with fibre, probiotics and enough time.

Colon hydrotherapy

Gentle bowel cleansing with temperature-controlled water, a pleasant element of many gut programmes.

Dietary guidance

Practical steps rather than rigid prohibitions, worked out together and individually.

When gut care can make sense

recurring digestive complaints such as bloating, a feeling of fullness or an irregular rhythm
the wish to support the gut flora after antibiotics or a demanding phase
general tiredness, heaviness and a sluggish feeling in the abdomen
an interest in a considered change of diet with professional guidance

Whether and which measure makes sense in your case is something we always discuss first in a detailed conversation. With persistent or unexplained complaints, a medical assessment comes first.

Bowel cleansing: rebuilding the gut flora

After a cleansing or a demanding phase, the task is to rebuild the inner balance. Fibre serves as food for the beneficial gut bacteria, prebiotic and probiotic foods support the diversity of the gut flora, and patience gives the body the time it needs. I do not hand you a ready-made product package; I look at which building blocks genuinely suit you.

Colon hydrotherapy

Colon hydrotherapy is a modern, gentle development of classic bowel irrigation. Using a closed system, the large intestine is flushed with temperature-controlled water, in a controlled and odour-free way. Many find the treatment surprisingly relaxing and a pleasant start to a gut programme. How it works in detail, who it is suitable for and where its limits lie is described in full on a page of its own. More on colon hydrotherapy.

Diet for a healthy gut

No gut topic works without diet, and this is often where the most effective lever lies. What has proved its worth above all:

  • a varied, fibre-rich plant-based diet with vegetables, pulses and wholegrains
  • fermented foods such as sauerkraut, kefir or natural yoghurt
  • enough water spread across the day
  • considered, unhurried meals with thorough chewing

In the consultation we translate this into concrete, practical steps that fit well into your daily life, rather than into rigid prohibitions.

Your support in Wiesbaden

I have been running my naturopathic practice in Wiesbaden for over twelve years. I deliberately take time for a detailed conversation and do not work with standard packages, but with a route that suits you, how you feel and your everyday life.

Honest about the effect

Naturopathic gut care does not replace conventional medical diagnostics and is not a treatment for specific illnesses. Much of what is promised around detoxification is not scientifically proven, and I say so openly. What I offer is careful, individual support that many people experience as beneficial, with realistic expectations and clear limits.

Frequently asked questions

What is a gut programme?

A gut programme combines several building blocks over a defined period, for example a relieving diet, rebuilding the gut flora and, if desired, colon hydrotherapy. The aim is to support the gut deliberately.

How long does bowel cleansing take?

That is individual. It is often several weeks to a few months. The gut flora needs time, and the complaints have frequently developed over a longer period too. We set the timeframe together according to how you feel.

Is colon hydrotherapy unpleasant?

Most people find the treatment surprisingly pleasant and relaxing. It runs via a closed, odour-free system. Details and limits can be found on the colon hydrotherapy page.

Which foods are good for the gut?

Above all a varied, fibre-rich plant-based diet, fermented foods such as sauerkraut, kefir or natural yoghurt, and enough water. As a rule: the fresher, the better. That does not mean shopping at the market every day, and I am happy to show you how simple preparing fresh food can be. In conversation we work out what fits your everyday life.

What are prebiotics and probiotics?

Prebiotics are fibres that serve as food for the beneficial gut bacteria. Probiotics are live cultures, for example from fermented foods. Both can support the development of a diverse gut flora.

Do I have to change my diet completely?

No. We work with achievable steps that fit your everyday life, not with rigid prohibitions.

How often does a gut programme make sense?

That depends on your situation and how you feel. Some people use it to accompany a fresh start, others want to do something for their gut again at certain intervals. We look at that individually.

Who is gut care not suitable for?

With certain pre-existing conditions or acute complaints, caution is required. That is why a conversation and, where necessary, a medical assessment always come first with me.

Would you like to support your gut deliberately?

Arrange a first consultation without obligation. We look at your situation carefully and find the right route together.
