Vitamin C Infusion

Vitamin C Infusion

Vitamin C Infusion — cellular protection and build-up from within

Vitamin C is far more than just protection against colds: it is an essential vital nutrient involved in numerous processes in the body, among them the formation of collagen, the most important structural protein for skin, blood vessels, connective tissue and joints. Beforehand I check both your G6PDH value and your kidneys in order to assess your tolerance of vitamin C infusions.

Less well known but equally important: Vitamin C is also involved in the formation of cortisol, the body's own stress hormone. That is why it plays a central role in the treatment of burnout and exhaustion conditions — especially with chronic stress and low energy levels.

In higher dosages, such as are possible with infusions, Vitamin C acts:

  • antioxidant — protects cells from free radicals
  • inflammation-regulating — in chronic or acute processes
  • immune-strengthening — to support during demanding times
  • tissue-building — promotes collagen formation for skin, vessels and joints
  • detoxification-supporting — with oxidative stress or environmental burdens
  • regenerating and stress-regulating — with exhaustion, fatigue or hormonal imbalances

Especially with increased need — for example through stress, infections, operations or chronic illness — a Vitamin C infusion can relieve and regenerate the body in a targeted way: quickly, effectively and well tolerated.

Vitamin C infusion: procedure, dosage and costs at a glance

With the high-dose vitamin C infusion, vitamin C is delivered directly into the bloodstream via an infusion. This achieves blood levels that are not possible through diet or tablets — at this concentration vitamin C acts as a powerful antioxidant and can support the immune system, cell protection and energy metabolism. An infusion usually takes around 30 minutes; the appropriate dosage and number of sessions depend on the reason for treatment and your general condition, and are determined in the first consultation.

The vitamin C infusion is a self-pay service. Statutory health insurers generally do not reimburse it; private insurers with a corresponding tariff often cover part of it, depending on the policy. You receive the treatment cost plan in advance, transparent and with no hidden items.

Related building blocks: with allergic strain, an Allergy infusion may be the more targeted choice; as part of a detoxification programme, vitamin C complements the Chelation therapy as a gentle chelating agent. You will find an overview of all variants on the page Infusion therapy.

How does the high-dose vitamin C infusion work?

Given as an infusion, vitamin C enters the bloodstream directly, bypassing the digestive tract. This achieves blood levels that cannot be reached through diet or tablets. Vitamin C is involved in numerous processes in the body.

  • contributes to the normal function of the immune system , particularly sought after during the infection and allergy season,
  • contributes to a normal collagen formation contributes to the normal function of skin, blood vessels, bones and cartilage,
  • contributes to protecting cells from oxidative stress contributes,
  • contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue and improves iron absorption.

When a vitamin C infusion can make sense

Many people use the high-dose infusion as support during particularly demanding phases: during the infection and allergy season, with noticeable Exhaustion and flagging energy, after periods of high physical or professional demand, or as a building block of a lifestyle deliberately geared towards Longevity and cell health. The infusion is a supportive measure and does not replace medical treatment.

Vitamin C, collagen and cell protection

Collagen is the structural protein of skin, connective tissue, blood vessels and joints. Because vitamin C contributes to normal collagen formation, it is a popular building block when it comes to skin appearance, connective tissue and ageing well. At the same time, as an antioxidant, vitamin C contributes to protecting cells from oxidative stress.

Summer special: vitamin C plus vitamin B12

On request we currently combine the vitamin C infusion with vitamin B12. B12 contributes to the normal function of the nervous system, to normal energy metabolism and to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue, which is ideal when energy and mental performance are the focus.

Who it is suitable for, and what we watch out for

The infusion is suitable for people who wish to support their immune system, their cell health or their energy in a targeted way. Before the first infusion we clarify possible contraindications. With a known glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency (G6PD deficiency), severe kidney disease or a tendency towards certain kidney stones, high-dose vitamin C is not suitable. During pregnancy and breastfeeding it is given only after consultation.
